  • Are there any mandatory requirements to taking a class?
    Yes. You must sign a Waiver of Liability, which among other things indicates that you have your physican's approval in engage in this activity.
  • What are the benefits of Qigong?
    It has been proven to reduce stress, increase longevity, slow the effects of aging, improve balance, build muscle and bone density, as well as reducing the symptoms of many illnesses.
  • What should I wear when I come to class?
    No special workout clothes are needed. Loose fitting clothes that allow for a full range of motion including stretching and bending are best. Depending on where class is held sneakers are generally fine although many people like to go barefoot in order to feel more grounded. Please refrain from wearing any fragrances or sented body products as many people are very sensitive to the smells.
  • Can I attend if I have never done Qigong?
    All classes are suitable for beginners. Please advise us if you have any physical limitations so that we may suggest alternatives to movements that might bother you. Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. These classes are not intended to diagnose any medical condition or to replace your healthcare professional. Consult with your healthcare professional to determine if qigong is right for you. If you experience any pain or difficulty with any of these exercises, stop and consult your healthcare provider.
  • Do I have to stand for the entire class?
    No, most postures can be done in a seated position.
  • Are there other ways to spell Qigong?
    Yes. Some of the variations include: Qi Gong, Chi Gong, Chi Gung, & Chi Kung
